Intern Spotlight By Kristin Fatsy

Spring Internship Session is about to Begin

It is that time again. We are accepting applications for our award-winning Video Production Internship Program. If you know of anyone with even the slightest interest in video production, tell them about the internship. An application is required to attend the non-committal orientation set for Thursday, May 31 st at 6:00 P.M. Have them come down and hear all about the benefits of being a CTV-21 intern.

Interns Produce Community Television

Former Intern of the Month and recent intern graduate (with a record number of hours in 180 days) Mike Magilnick has been very busy producing programs! He produced three full-length programs “GSA Show”, “Edith Wheeler Memorial Library” and “Masuk Band Winter Concert”. He also completed two fillers on the Masuk Color Guard and worked with current intern Skylar Brent on the production of a spoof on infomercials with “Jumbo Phone”.

Our intern in the spotlight for this issue is Stacy Todisco

Speaking of Skylar, you can see his most recent production, “Shred Blog Teaser” airing as filler on the channel. There is some impressive editing of this snowboarding video, a tease to a longer program that he is currently editing.

Keep an eye on the channel for another filler, “Paint Prep”. Tim Gates shows viewers the proper way to prep your walls before painting them.

Intern of the Month

Our winter group is progressing nicely. They have helped on numerous truck and location shoots as well as “In Your Community” and “Local Edition” tapings. In fact, a third of them are ahead of pace for their hours, making it a tough choice for Intern of the Month. However, coming it at 142 hours (only 67.5 are needed to be on pace – she’s more than 3 months ahead of schedule) is this edition’s Intern of the Month, Stacy Todisco.

Stacy has volunteered on virtually every truck, location and studio shoot we have produced since she became an intern. She is always on time, efficient, works well with everyone and has a natural talent and eye for camera work. She also attends her intern hours faithfully and is currently working on her group project during those hours. Congratulations Stacy and THANK YOU for your hard work and dedication to the internship program.
