Producer Spotlight By Mark Ingram

This is an on-going series of short form productions. They’re cablecast in-between various local access programs, but not at regular intervals. Almost any individual organization civic group or non-profit agency can request to be the subject of a “Short Story” by calling CommuniTyVision 21and ask for Mark Ingraam.

Anyone you know who fits this description could have their story (or their efforts in their community) told in the way of a short video by the Monday night crew of four CommuniTyVision 21 interns. Think of it as a quick biography that explains what the subject does and informs the cable audience of the event that is soon to come.

Canstruction

The four interns on Monday night guided by a coordinator actually storyboard, shoot, and edit the piece conceptually so creativity is added to this tale of video about community efforts. These interns of the ‘Short Story Crew’ are Robert Redman, Tariq Zafar, Jim Mastroni and Steve Stratton.

One of the opportunities brought to us that became our very first “Short Story” was brought by another intern, Patrice Gans. She is also a teacher with the Newtown Middle School Gifted and Talented program and they were taking part in the CANstruction community service project. Cans of foods that are donated to a group of children are ‘constructed’ into large displays like building blocks for public display to bring attention to the cause.

At the time of writing this article “Short Story; CANstruction” has been cablecast many times and will hopefully assist in letting the community know about their efforts. Meanwhile the “Short Story Crew” is now in the development of “Short Story; Battle of the Bands” the story of the individuals and organizations that create a place for new bands young and old to learn their craft of teamwork, music and expression.
